Registration: CCCP-42382
Type: Tu-104A
Engines: 2 × AM-3М-500
Serial Number: 06-02
First flight: 1958

The Tu-104A USSR-42382 aircraft was built on June 29, 1958 at the Kharkov Aviation Plant. It was operated until 1978 – until the completion of the total service life. The aircraft was transferred to the sponsored organization of the Youth Gliding School, as part of the creation of a Youth gliding school in Novosibirsk, on the initiative of its founder, V.M. Knyazarev. On June 27, 1978, the crew consisting of squadron commander N.I. Buketov, instructor pilot A.A. Shishkin, navigator N.F. Tikhonov and flight mechanic N.N. Aksenenko flew this aircraft from Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport to Berdsk-Tsentralny airfield. The landing was made on a dirt strip, which is atypical for aircraft of this class. Until the early 1990s, the aircraft was part of an open-air museum and a training class for cadets of the Youth Gliding School. Since 2009, the Tu-104A USSR-42382 has been restored by enthusiasts under the leadership of Maria Karmanova. As of 2022, at least 95% of the cabin equipment, including rare astrogation instruments, has been restored.
