Singapore Airlines is one of only three airlines to have ever operated the Concorde. For a brief period between 1977 and 1980, Singapore's major carrier partnered with British Airways to provide supersonic service on the London–Bahrain–Singapore route. Only one specific aircraft (G-BOAD) was used for this flights. It was painted in the Singapore Airlines livery on its left side and the British Airways livery on its right side. Concorde slashed travel time from roughly 18 hours to 9 hours. While BA pilots flew the plane, the cabin crew alternated between SIA and BA staff on different legs of the journey. G-BOAD, used for this route is currently on display at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City.
