Volaris is a Mexican low-cost airline based in Santa Fe, Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City. Volaris was founded in August 2005 and commenced operations on March 13, 2006. The airline was initially funded by Grupo Televisa, Inbursa, TACA Airlines, and Discovery Americas Fund. Over the years, Volaris has grown significantly and is now Mexico's largest airline by transported passengers. Volaris serves 71 destinations across Mexico, the United States, Central America, and South America. Some of its key destinations include Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana, Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami. Volaris operates a fleet more than 130 aircraft, all from the Airbus family.
