Scoot, is a Singaporean low-cost airline and a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. On 25 May 2011, Singapore Airlines announced it would establish a low-cost subsidiary airline. On 1 November 2011, the airline was named "Scoot". It began its operations on 4 June 2012 on medium and long-haul routes from Singapore, predominantly to various airports throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Scoot's fleet initially consisted of Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Since 2015, the airline has started operating the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Scoot's airline slogan is Escape the Ordinary.
