Air Transat is a Canadian airline headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, owned and operated by Transat A.T. Inc. Founded in 1986, specializes in charter flights from 19 Canadian cities to vacation destinations, mainly to 15 countries in the south during winter and in 11 European countries during summer. Also, some destinations are provided all year round by the airline. Its main Canadian gateways are Montréal–Trudeau International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport. Air Transat was founded in December 1986, and in November 1987, it made its inaugural flight from Montreal to Acapulco. The airline's fleet consists of 16 Airbus A330 and 27 A321 aircraft. The first A321 entered the fleet in April 2018, and the new A321NX in May 2019.
