British Airways plc is the flag carrier of the United Kingdom. It is headquartered in London, England at Waterside, near its main hub at Heathrow Airport. A British Airways Board was established by the United Kingdom government in 1972 to manage the two nationalised airline corporations, British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways, and two smaller Cambrian Airways, and Northeast Airlines. On 31 March 1974, all four companies were merged to form British Airways. It is a founding member of the Oneworld airline alliance. British Airways took delivery of its very first Airbus A350-1000 on July 27, 2019. Currently, there are 18 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft operating in the British Airways fleet.
