Shipping Quirks in Fall 2026
The world is in turmoil — crises, wars, unhinged politicians — and one way or another, it all trickles down to our small business too. Waves of man-made problems roll in, recede, and roll back in with renewed force. No sooner do you fend off one problem than it's time to tackle the next. At least it's never boring.
Right now we're dealing with shipping issues, which had been working reasonably well up until now. A new obstacle has cropped up somewhere in transit: our postal service reports the package as sent, while the other end has no record of it at all. You could spend ages digging into the reasons for the delays, but that won't make them go away.
After a few packages got "stuck," we decided to start using intermediaries in third countries. After several test shipments, we settled on the most reliable delivery route. There was even a nice side effect — shipping to Australia has now opened up, and it's become possible to track packages all the way to delivery.
